A huge welcome back to Warnham CE Primary. The children all seem to have grown over the holiday and their positivity and desire to work really hard has been utterly inspiring!
A big welcome to our new children across the school and to our Hedgehogs! All new children have settled in SO well and seem to be thriving already – we are so proud of them.
Thank you so much for all of your kind donations to our Harvest Festival. Horsham Food Bank were humbled by your generosity and said that your donations will help to support a number of Horsham families in financial difficulty.
To any new parents, who are unaware – please follow us on twitter @WarnhamCEP. The staff ‘tweet’ news and photos almost every day to help you to gain a really good insight into the broad and creative curriculum of Warnham Primary. We are so proud of how the children are learning and progressing and enjoy sharing that with you at every opportunity.
We were able to share some final progress and attainment data with Governors this week. We are delighted by the super progress that the children have made and so proud of their outstanding teachers. The Governors were so pleased that they delivered the staff a wonderful (and very welcome) package of biscuits as a huge well done!
PTFA – Help needed!
Our PTFA have been utterly amazing in helping us to ensure that the children at Warnham receive access to lovely resources and experiences – especially amid a financial crisis.
Please, please put your name down with them to be a helper at various events or help on the committee, if you have a little bit of time to share.
I am sure that the PTFA will continue to put on fun family events and discos for the children if they have enough people to help them.
1000 Headteachers to Downing Street
I am sure that you have been following the news about funding cuts in education and the impact that it is having on the children in West Sussex.
A national event has been organised where Headteachers across England will be marching through Parliament Square on Friday 28th September to deliver a petition to request fairer funding for our children.
Mrs Kirby is participating in this march along with all of the Headteachers in our locality and most of the Headteachers across West Sussex. Please look out for us on the BBC news!
The Parish Council need your help!
They are planning to revamp the Hollands Way play area and are putting together a working group to help deliver the project.
They are looking for residents or interested people to join the working group and provide valuable input into the revamp project.
If you would like to volunteer, or are interested but would like to know more, please contact the Parish Clerk at firstname.lastname@example.org or 01403 790664.
Dates for your diary
Please check the school website for the most up-to-date details on INSET days, school photographs, holidays etc.
If you could help us to publicise on social media that we have an Open Morning on Tuesday 30th October from 9:15 – 11:15am, we would be hugely grateful.
Parents who have nursery-aged children aren’t always aware of our wonderful little village school, so tucked away!
Similarly, we have a few spaces in a couple of our classes for children who are looking to change schools or are moving into the area.
